Description
Phenoxyethanol (and) Ethylhexylglycerin PE 9010 is a broad-spectrum preservative system used to protect cosmetic and personal care formulations against microbial contamination. It combines phenoxyethanol with ethylhexylglycerin and is suitable for a wide variety of leave-on and rinse-off formulations.
PE 9010 is commonly used in lotions, creams, serums, shampoos, conditioners, body washes, and other water-containing cosmetic formulations where effective preservation is required.

Typical Usage Rate: 0.5–1.0%
For typical lotion and cream formulations, add PE 9010 during the cool-down phase at approximately 104°F (40°C) or below and mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution. PE 9010 is heat stable; manufacturer specifications list a maximum processing temperature below 248°F (120°C).
Storage: Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry location away from excessive heat.
