BTMS-25 Conditioning Emulsifier

BTMS-25 is a cationic conditioning emulsifier popular with makers of hair care and skin care products. It provides excellent conditioning, slip, and detangling while also functioning as an effective emulsifier.

In hair care formulations, BTMS-25 helps improve wet and dry combing and leaves hair feeling soft, smooth, and manageable. It is an excellent choice for rinse-off conditioners, conditioner bars, leave-in products and detangling formulations.

BTMS-25 can also be used in lotions, creams and body products where it creates smooth, elegant emulsions with a soft, powdery after-feel.

Formulating with BTMS-25

Add BTMS-25 to the heated oil phase of your formulation and heat until completely melted. Combine with the heated water phase and mix thoroughly to form the emulsion.

Typical Usage Rate: approximately 2–10%, depending on the formulation and desired level of conditioning.
