Muddy Clean™ Hard Surface Cleaner Concentrate
Muddy Clean™ is a concentrated hard surface cleaning base made for makers who want a simple starting point for creating their own spray cleaners, counter sprays, and household cleaning products.
This product can be diluted with water and customized with compatible fragrance, color, or other appropriate additives depending on your finished product goals. It mixes easily without heat and is a practical option for small businesses, market makers, and DIY formulators who want to offer home care products without building a cleaner formula from scratch.
In our own testing, Muddy Clean performed well as a light-duty counter and hard surface cleaner at approximately 2% Muddy Clean to 98% water. For heavier cleaning applications, stronger concentrations may be appropriate, and Colonial’s sample formulations use higher levels for tougher jobs.
Suggested Starting Point
For a simple light-duty surface spray:
2% Muddy Clean™
98% distilled water
Mix until uniform, then package in a compatible spray bottle.
Maker Notes
Always make a small test batch first. Test your finished cleaner on the intended surface before regular use, especially on painted, sealed, natural stone, wood, or delicate surfaces. Added fragrance, color, or other ingredients may affect clarity, performance, stability, and surface compatibility.
